The Aug chapter ride for the N.C. Chapter will be Saturday August 23. Not 100% on the route just yet. Thinking maybe the Striped Snake in Shady Valley TN or some new roads this chapter has not ridden around the Blue Ridge Parkway.... a little further West. I would like to do the Striped Snake; however it's an ALL day ride and not really sure of how many people could commit.

Hey Guys… I’ve mentioned to a few of you about this ride. On Aug 23 / Saturday I will be leading the August Christian Sport-bike ride to the Stripped Snake at Shady Valley, Tenn. I know a few of you have gone on this ride before or have been on their own. It’s a great ride; however it’s a ALL day ride. I’ll post the times later, but it will be something like leaving Winston Salem at 8:30 a.m. and returning around 6pm that evening. We will take plenty of breaks and once we get to the country store everyone can ride the stripped snake at their leisure. We will eat lunch in the area and head back home mid afternoon or if you need to leave earlier it’s a simple ride back. On the ride up we take Hwy 421 to N. Wilkesboro and then Hwy 16 to W Jefferson. From there we take some back roads to break up the highway riding and come out in Mountain city TN. Here is the ride route to the Stripped Snake:

We should arrive at the Country Store at apprx 11:30 am.

I will continue to work on the ride back tonight and tomorrow. The ride back will be a lot of back roads to break up the highway. If anyone needs to get back quicker, then Hwy 421 S will take you back to Winston Salem.

Great Day of Riding with too many curves to count... Dodged the scattered storms except for a few very short drizzles. Steve got a little more rain on the way home, but luckily he rides a Ducati, so he outran the storm.... I arrived home at 7:15 pm with 323 miles on the clock.

This another great turnout for our chapter compared to the last few years..... now I just gotta figure out how to get some to actually join the CSBA...

I will look at my calendar and post up Sept ride date and info soon.
