The day started cloudy but the sky was clearly visible. As I rode out to the diner the sky became overcast (oh no, not again! :S ) Yep, I got gas and just arrived at the diner when the drizzle began. At Marysville it never was a down pour but it rained steady for about 30-45 minutes. Arrgh! This would be the 3rd hosted ride with rain this year! The three of us decided to wait until 10am to ride to allow things to dry off somewhat. We reached out to some people to see if they wanted to ride, but communication channels missed each other and we left before they arrived. So andyr, VA_SV, and I rode west then north taking an altered version of May's route since we never finished it last month due to (you guessed it) rain. We came across a road that was closed and in the process met a guy that was a big game hunter and had travelled all over the world. You can't make this stuff up! This was of course one of my usual 3 U-turns per ride. :silly: We seem to have found a section of PA that has a great lack of road signs. But, hey, we didn't get too lost, no dirt roads and we saw some really cool scenery. Actually, the scenery on this ride was some of the best I've seen in years, it was pretty incredible. In retrospect I wish I had taken more pictures. Regardless, except for a few errant drivers we didn't have much issues with traffic. We made a bathroom stop before lunch and one for fuel. Lunch up at Lock Haven was really cool. It was a classic place that we will definitely go to again. After lunch VA-SV headed south and andyr and I went north then east. We liked some roads and others not so much. So changes will be made for the future edition of the May ride. We all had big fun and hope to do it again next month. B) The Scripture is below and we will ride south next month, July 8th weather permitting! ;)

This month's edition of attributes of a godly man was out of Proverbs 3:21-28 which reads:
21 My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion;
22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.
23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26 for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”—
    when you already have it with you.

We see in verse 21 that sound judgement is an attribute that we haven't discussed in our series yet. I like how the Teacher in Proverbs uses the verb "preserve", it points to the fact that we all can slip and get sloppy in our judgement. So, the author admonishes us to preserve that sound judgement which will give us a good life and sound rest. In verse 25 we see that being brave is an attribute of a man that follows God. Not due to his own efforts or strength but due to the assurance that God is by his side. In verse 26 I saw that a godly man would be confident and sure in what he does because the Lord is with him. Finally, I saw in verses 27-28 that a godly man would be honest, doing the right thing at all times. All of these verses and attributes are fairly straight forward, but I found renewed meaning in them by meditating on them and considering them in my own life and how I met these standards (or didn't :blush: ). May God bless you over this summer and I hope to see you all soon!
