CSBA Presents our “Day @ the Races (Track Day) | Saturday September 27th, 2014”

Come join us (www.pacsba.com) and our friends, as we do what we do; enjoy a day at the races. It's a rain or shine eventful day of exploring our limits and testing our abilities as we heat up the tires for a day of fun and fellowship with our friends and family for a "Day @ the Races (Track Day)". All are welcome.

CSBA has partnered with several key vendors to make our track day experience even more event filled. For 2014, Absolute Cycle Experience continues to be our track day provider, along with new partners (see pinned post below)

Visit our hospitality/information booth for a cool refreshment and great information from our supporters. Spend time with us as we showcase rider safety, track day hints and tip, and product information via multimedia. Experience to ride at your ability and learn to master your machine.

If you've never done a track day, do yourself a favor and get in while you can. Everyone is riding in the same direction, track is cleaned, no debris to deal with, no speed limits (baring red shirts and your ability) and best of all - great coaches and instruction to help improve your skills. We'll be cooking food, watching movies, giving praise, enjoying great fellowship and just having fun.

You don't need to have a bike to enjoy the fun - come down and hang out with us at the paddock (no charge to be our guest if you arrive before 9:45a – just mention you’re with CSBA/Absolute Cycle Experience at the gate and we'll supply you with a spectator pass for the day once you're down in the pits with us - otherwise $5 gate fee). Pass the word and invite out your friends.

CSBA “Day @ the Races” is proudly sponsored and supported by our affiliates and partners (see pinned post below). Come out, break bread with us and support our mission of enjoying fellowship on two... See you there!

Race Report - September 27th, 2014 at NJMP – Thunderbolt with Absolute Racing

Praise God and in his grace I am blessed, so hopefully to be a blessing to others as a humble servant…. I open this report and account of the day’s events by giving thanks to God for his presence and protection throughout the day. I feel extremely grateful to him and honored to our faithful friends that come out to give their support and make our “Day @ the Races” a blessing to others. This segment marks our fourth “Day @ the Races” track day event this year… and I’m happy to say each installment gets better and better!

Greetings and thanks are extended to everyone in attendance, with a special thanks to all our sponsors that continue to support us and make our “Day @ the Races” possible. I extend special thanks to A-Tech for getting our new Honda 1000RR Blade ready for its track day debut at this event. A standing thanks is also given to Roy from Absolute Riding Experience for all his help and support to keep our members and friends on the track riding and safe during the event. His team does a superb job in organizing and keeping the venue safe and on schedule. We can’t say enough positive things for all his efforts. Lastly, I am extremely thankful for our CSBA family and friends who continue to support our events. Without their undying efforts for pit-preparation and tear-down, we would surely fade under all the work required. Our displays look wonderful because of all the help and support we have on track day – the quality shows, so hats off to all that come to support and help us! With that behind me, let me attempt to give the reader an account of the day’s events.

The weather was awesome for a late September day, as the track warmed up to optimum temperature by mid-morning. I had a rocky start since I had our track bikes displayed the day before (Friday) at Scott’s Power Sports Event in Quakertown, which meant a late night for me of packing up and getting staged for the next morning; needless to say 3am Saturday morning came too quickly. Kat R. and her Inner Circle Riders MC Crew (Bob and son James L, Jimmie W and Alex C) were already in route to NJMP by 3:45am, with a good jump on me so I had to hustle to catch them. I didn’t disappoint, finally catching them about 10 miles from the last exit on RT55 in NJ – the response was (he’s moving)… and yes, we were with a purpose. ☺ We greeted at our normal meet-up spot (Wawa in Millville) and then ventured over to the NJMP Park, arriving to Thunderbolt around 6:15am. Once checked in, I was successful in finding John Dobson’s trailer. Luckily John & Natalie (daughter) came down the night before and staged out a complete lane in the pit area for us, allowing our entire group to pit and be staged together for the day. We got positioned and quickly started our camp CSBA assembly. Rick P (Pohlcat), Jim M (J-Mac), and Russ (Rusty Bucket) soon thereafter arrived and raised a hand to help. Danny R and his partner arrived shortly after and what a blessing to have our CSBA Racing partners come down (Joe and Denise) as well, which means we had a full house and compliment representing the CSBA Mission. With all in attendance and everyone pitching in to lend a hand, our "Camp CSBA" Hospitality tent areas were up and ready in time for tech inspection. In our standing tradition, I raised the flags marking the official opening of our “Day @ the Races” event and presence.

Later in the morning a few other friends came down to show their support. Our good friend Zsofi came down and helped with taking some amazing pictures, and our very own Rick J made an appearance with his R1. We welcome and encourage all our friends to come down and hangout with us at our "Hospitality Camp CSBA" tent. As usual, we had several folks visit our tent for our yummy perfectly cooked hot dogs and a nice cold drink. We offered great conversation, fellowship and the Gospel to any and all that were of the mindset to listen. We also showcased our newest sponsor: A-Tech for the fine work they did on our new Honda 1000rr Blade for our “Day @ the Races” Event.

They did an awesome job in not only matching our CSBA “Day @ the Races” theme from our other bike, but getting it ready in short order. Our hat’s are off to them for their dedication and support of our mission.

I managed to grab a video of my maiden voyage on the blade: which also show’s John D. (3;16) following. We also captured videos of Kat R. and J-Mac, which are showcased on the Facebook event page. We were scheduled to give a morning prayer during the ACE riders meeting, but the meeting ran over and we missed our opportunity. During lunch we did enjoy various 1:1 conversations with folks that stopped by our tent for information. As always, with so many folks moving in all directions, I was unable to share my message as a group – which is proving to be ever so challenging because of the nature of this venue. Regardless as I try to do, I did get to enjoy fellowship and my time with each of our friends, which is most important to me. I managed to ride 3 sessions, which was nearly half the day – thanks in part to all the help I had to keep things moving at our hospitality tent. The star of the day however was Katheen R in making her debut on the track after a year of supporting and coming to our track day events. She endured many obstacles to make her track day this day, which she would proudly call her ‘bucket list” event a reality. She did very well and graduated with Red-Shirt removal by early afternoon. Great job Kat! J-Mac was also pushing hard in the morning – he gets the nod for not quitting as he suffered a low-side on his bike, but John D was gracious to loan him one of his bikes to finish out the day. He later did great – so well done on Jim for not quitting and jumping back in and for John’s support and help with the loaner. Russ got to dust off old skills and get his lean on, so we’re thankful he made it down for the day. Danny I hear had a ton of fun and might be ready to bump to the next group, so good on him! Joe and Denise from our CSBA Racing family also joined us as time permitted during the day, which is always grand to have their presence with us. What can I say, we were surrounded with greatness the entire day – no wonder I was smiling:

This is another great day for the books - a great day indeed! In honor of our CSBA Racing Team and giving us their presence on this day, our scripture for our track day will be Romans 12:2 (which is Joe’s CCS Racing Number)

In our ever growing task to build on this venue and introduce more riders to controlled track day racing, we support our continued vision of what the CSBA "Day @ the Races" mission is all about: "...to enjoy a joyful spirit and fellowship with fellow riders, while always learning and testing our limits for this passion we have for 2 wheeled movement. We shouldn't be afraid to test our limits as that's how true growth in anything is experienced..." If you've never done a track day, do yourself a favor and try to get in at least one session. It will surely make you a better street rider. The pace is yours to set; grab a partner and explore.

Thanks again for everyone's support in our ride/event and our efforts for the CSBA "Day @ the Races" venue. Come out and enjoy our next riding event, which is the CSBA Ride "Dauphin County Run"" on October 4th, 2014. Hopefully we'll see you there! I'll post up more pictures as I receive them here and also on our Facebook Forum Page (www.facebook.com/groups/ChristianSportbike/) and at this event's Facebook Event Page (www.facebook.com/events/311521482351328/)

See you out there - Lets Ride!

Scripture for Track Day Event – September 27th, 2014

Vision, Integrity, Presence

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)

In many contexts, VIP means “Very Important Person.” But the acronym also offers us a character test.

The “V” stands for VISION, for “where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV). Having a vision means seeing what can be done, what ought to be done, and how to get it done. The highest vision we can have to is glorify God by discovering God’s will for our lives – and then doing it.

The letter “I” stands for INTEGRITY, meaning that a person is the same on the inside as he or she appears on the outside. There must be no discrepancy between what we say and what we do, between our walk and our talk.

The “P” stands for PRESENCE – God’s presence in our lives. Without God’s help we are doomed. Only in Christ do we find out who we are, why we are here, and where we are going – and only in Him do we find the power to fulfill our God-given vision.

With that, be steadfast in your commitment to Christ, and be a real “VIP” – a person with vision, integrity, and God’s presence. Only then can you be a true servant of his blessings.

In closing, as I’ve mentioned in previous tracks and accounts; no matter how fast you run your race, or how great your skills are (on and off the track), we are all created for God's purpose and should humble ourselves in our gifts and not over shadow those with lesser talent in our excellence areas. Be kind to your neighbor; be of good fruit and a helping hand; at the same time remember to shed the bad rotten fruit and negativity.

Blessings to all!
