CSBA Breaking Bread Luncheon Report – February 1st, 2020

- Some of the gang from 2/1/2020 Breading Bread – Red Cedar Grill

We give thanks to God for His wisdom and His Blessings….

CSBA Breaking Break Luncheons are the best way to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones. This month we chose Red Cedar Grill and they treated us like royalty. The food was amazing and the company (as always) was simply the very best. Join us next month (in March) as we hit the pavement with our community service annual outreach project. As always, we give thanks for our CSBA Friends and Family for coming out and enjoying an afternoon with us.

For more great pictures and information on today’s event, visit the face book event page for our “February Breaking Bread” Luncheon here:
[ www.facebook.com/events/2430037140580830/ ] or visit us on our website at www.pacsba.org.

On behalf of the CSBA and our chapter, we give thanks to you for coming and enjoying the day with us. See you again soon and don’t hesitate to reach out to any CSBA member with any and all questions you may have about our rides or the CSBA Organization. Blessings to you all!

Living a Peaceable Life…
“Lead a quiet and peaceable life in all Godliness and reverence...”
1 TIMOTHY 2:2

As Christians, we aren’t to isolate ourselves from the world in which we live. We are part of society, and we share in its differences, problems, and hopes.

The Bible has much to say about our social responsibility. The Old Testament prophets condemned those who ignored the poor and exploited the weak. Not that it is easy, quite the opposite. As Christians, we know human society will always be incomplete and imperfect. We will never build a Utopia on Earth.

But we must do all we can to alleviate suffering and to strike at the root causes of injustice, racial prejudice, hunger, and violence. We are to work for the peaceable life and human dignity for others. Why? Because God loves this suffering world. Jesus saw the crowds and “was moved with compassion” (Matthew 9:36).

Christ is concerned about the whole person – including the society in which that person lives. Your neighbor, your friend, your fellow rider, and even that person you don’t care too much for should always be treated with patience and understanding.

As I’ve shared in the past, one of the reasons and purposes behind our Breaking Bread luncheons, as well as our morning breakfast and lunch gatherings during our normal riding events is to create a body of fellowship among our riders. The activity of riding can be a very individual contributing task; and while we truly enjoy our 2-wheel therapy very much, we also enjoy our riders much more. Use this time today to reconnect by reaching out and touching someone; shake a hand, give a hug and make a new friend. That’s why we’re here – to create an environment for fellowship.

I know sometimes hearing the word this way is not common for some of you, but try to open your heart and extend yourself a little, you’re be all the better for it. I’m so very thankful for your time and energy in coming out today and sharing yourself in fellowship with us today. The CSBA serves as your Godly guide and as a light to help guide you, not only for your riding, but for your spirit too. Don’t be afraid to ask – that is why we are here. Blessings!
