Join us for our “Community Service Project Outreach” | Saturday, March 7th, 2015

Once a year our local chapter (www.pacsba.com) along with our friends & families perform a community service outreach effort by helping serve our central communities here in Pennsylvania. This takes the form of light duty, which could mean cleaning, painting, light construction, etc… The effort is always a group effort and is done to help generate fellowship both among our members and our fellow riders that enjoy us during the year. It’s our way of doing giveback for our communities in which we live.

For 2015, our outreach project finds us working in the Quakertown area. The effort will only be the morning, with us breaking for lunch to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The details of this mission will be forth coming as soon as our assignment is finalized. It will be pinned to this event once all the details are clear. (update - here’s the details:

Group Meet-up Location:
216 N. Main Street, Souderton, PA. This is a three bedroom house that the tenant just moved out last weekend and our group will be working in.
We have some large furniture items that we need to move out of the house. They include the following
1. Sofa
2. Large breakfront top and bottom
3. Two dressers
4. TV stand
5. Desk and desk chair
6. 4 air conditioners
7. A barbell
8. Refrigerator
9. Washer
10. Dryer

We will be putting the items in storage or out for trash collection
We then need to wash the walls and clean parts of the unit, bathrooms and kitchen.
There is some patching to do on the plaster walls and possible minor painting touch up.
This should keep us busy all morning.

For lunch there are a number of local restaurants that we may consider:
1. Souderton Family Restaurant on Main Street
2. O’Gradys Restaurant at Route 113 and Route 309
3. Franconia Café at Route 113 and Allentown Road, Franconia
4. Franconia Heritage Restaurant at Route 113 and Allentown Road, Franconia

If you have the morning free on March 7th, we encourage you to come out and hang with us as we all do something good for the community. Pass the word and invite out your friends and families. Last year we also had children (8yrs old and above) helping too – so don’t be afraid to bring your children – work is good for the soul.

CSBA Community Service Project Outreach is proudly sponsored and supported by our partner – Keystone Opportunity Center. Come out, break bread with us and support our mission of enjoying fellowship… See you there!
