First I would like to mention that the CSBA Community Service Project Outreach is proudly sponsored and supported by our partner – Keystone Opportunity Center. Their collaboration with us has been phenomenal over the last few years and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them.

This years community service outreach project took place at 216 N. Main Street, Souderton, PA, which was a three bedroom house that the tenant had just moved out of the prior weekend and our team was selected to perform some light duty tasks to prepare the home for a new tenant. The project took a majority of the morning to complete and once all attendees were present, we broke up into teams to complete the following tasks:

We moved some large furniture items out of the house. They included the following:

1. Sofa
2. Large breakfront top and bottom
3. Two dressers
4. TV stand
5. Desk and desk chair
6. 4 air conditioners
7. A barbell
8. Refrigerator
9. Washer
10. Dryer

The above items were either placed in storage or out for trash collection.

We then washed the walls and cleaned parts of the unit, bathrooms , and kitchen.

Lastly we performed some minor repair tasks such as patch up work on the plaster walls and some minor painting touch up.

After our assignments were complete, we enjoyed some lunch at Caruso Brick Oven Trattoria and discussed the days project with one another.

Thanks to all who contributed in one way or another and we look forward to continuing our service to our communities as each new opportunity presents itself.

Remember that at least once a year our local chapter (www.pacsba.org) along with our friends & families perform a community service outreach effort by helping serve our central communities here in Pennsylvania. This takes the form of light duty, which could mean cleaning, painting, light construction, etc… The effort is always a group effort and is done to help generate fellowship both among our members and our fellow riders that enjoy us during the year. It’s our way of doing giveback for our communities in which we live. We hope you can join us to participate in our future projects!
