The 2011 riding season as come and gone quicker than we could have imagined. Overall the season went extremely well. The amount of crashes were greatly reduced this year, but attendance was down by about 40%. A big part in the decrease in attendance was likely a result of our Philadelphia and New Jersey friends being unable to attend many rides this year due to other commitments. We missed them and hope to reconnect with them again in 2012! The good news is that the lower attendance did open the door for more folks to have the opportunity to lead groups this year, with a support backbone from other members. Additionally more members contributed their suggestions for ride-routes and spent time examining them prior to ride day to make sure their were no detours or unexpected situations. Their assistance was greatly appreciated and will be sought after again during this coming season.

Weather played a major role this year, effecting more rides than ever before since the Pennsylvania chapter was started. A few rides had to be cancelled and a few others were cut short due to heavy rains. While disappointing, it still enabled us plenty of opportunity to connect with folks, provide support to those dealing with difficult life struggles, and continue to tend to the spiritual needs of motorcyclists. We also were able to spend a weekend to support our friend and CSBA race team chaplain, Joe Cotterino at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia during one of his races and ministry events. Fun was had by all who attended and we can't wait to do it again next year!

Over the last year, we have been blessed with some new and returning members joining our chapter. As we move forward into the new year, we hope to continue to increase membership, as well as to have more attendance from chapter members at our monthly events. We are planning some new and exciting things for 2012, including reworking some ride-routes to explore some new terrain and another "day at the races" event. So come on out this season and join us, you won't want to miss it!
